In-Office Screening
The risk of certain diseases and conditions is more prominent in HIV patients and left unchecked, can cause very serious complications in the future.
Dr. McMeeking understands this and operates on the philosophy that comprehensive and routine testing is the only way to avoid these problems, both now and in the future.
We offer in-office screening for:
- Hepatitis B and C
- HPV and cervical cancer in women
- Anal and renal carcinomas in men and women
- Cognitive function testing to screen for early signs of involvement of the Central Nervous system and offer referrals to neurologists with HIV training as needed
- Regular screenings for signs of kidney disease with blood and urine exams
- In- office testing for vascular disease including Ultrasounds for the peripheral and carotid arteries and echocardiograms
- Screenings for signs of stroke and heart disease
- Regular screening for increased cholesterol and hypertension and council patients on weight loss, cigarette cessation, diet and exercise programs
- Regular screening for signs of osteoporosis and osteopenia
